South East surveyors firm leads way in
eco-friendly building

MacConvilles EmployeesBrighton-based surveyors firm MacConvilles has become one of the South East’s leading experts in sustainable property development and the only surveyors in the city able to carry out EcoHomes and Code for Sustainable Homes assessments.

To help achieve its vision to lead the way in eco-friendly building, the firm has created a new management team, promoting 44-year-old director Malcolm Gordon to managing director and making associate Toby Rollestone a director alongside Charles Haywood, who has been a director for five years.

Recent projects include the state-of-the-art modernisation of Sussex University’s chemistry laboratories and their student accommodation and the refurbishment of the Charles Barry Building at the Royal Sussex County Hospital.

MacConvilles was also responsible for building the Westergate Business Centre – the award- winning eco-friendly business centre in Moulsecoomb, joint-funded by Brighton & Hove Regeneration Partnership, SEEDA and East Brighton’s New Deal for Communities (NDC) project, eb4U.
