The high levels of stress motorists experience when on the road were tested by a celebrity doctor.
The test was carried out by csma (civil service motoring association) – a leading lifestyle organisation – and overseen by renowned celebrity doctor Linda Papadopoulos. She assessed office worker David Smith on his morning journey to work and commented on his stress levels while he was driving.
During the test, David had to take his usual journey to work while Dr Linda evaluated his heartbeat and blood pressure. Dr Linda measured the levels of stress he experienced at different stages of his journey which included dropping his daughter off at school.
The test results showed that David, who considers himself a calm person, suffered from increased levels of stress. David’s blood pressure went up from 11/7 to 16/10 between picking his daughter up and dropping her off to school.
